The Ideal Series pays homage to the artwork of renowned equine artist Orren Mixer (1920-2008). Each hand painted piece in this series was Inspired by one of Mixer's famed "ideal" horse breed paintings.

• A buckskin is a bay horse with a cream gene that dilutes their hair to a rich caramel color with black or dark crown paints.
• The International Buckskin Horse Association is the world's largest registry for horses of this color.
The Buckskin" by Orren Mixer was commissioned by the IBHA in 1996 and is currently displayed at the AQHA
Heritage Center and Museum in Amarillo, TX.
